Swimming pools are very expensive to install and heat wherever you have them fitted and if they have no heating at all they will only be warm for a few days a year in a British climate.
This makes swimming pools perfect for solar water heating, solar swimming pools will allow you to cut your costs and to swim for longer in the year, from spring through to autumn.
Solar swimming pools are easy to fit..
Any competent DIY person can install a solar water heating system and as part of our service we also provide full installations.
How does the solar water heating work with my swimming pool..
The swimming pool is heated by using an array of powerful evacuated solar tubes that are heated by solar radiation and do not rely upon direct sunlight alone.
The powerful vacuum in the solar tubes allows them to perform well throughout the year.
The swimming pool is heated by a heat exchanger which can be inserted into any existing filtration system.
A controller then compares the temperature in the solar panel with the temperature in the exchanger.
When the panels are five degrees higher than the exchanger fluid is pumped from solar panel to the exchanger which in turn heats the water being delivered to your swimming pool via your filtration.
Once the solar panels are fitted to your swimming pool they will start saving you money instantly.
Where should I mount the solar panels for my swimming pool and how many solar panels will I need
The solar panels can be mounted on your roof, garage or in your garden.
The perfect situation for the solar panels is a south facing aspect for the greatest absorption of solar radiation.
The number of solar panels required will depend upon the size of your swimming
pools surface area and weather it is in an exposed position.
We use fifty eight mm by one point eight metre long solar tubes as they are more powerful
than the forty seven millimetre tubes and use up less area.
The panels should be mounted at a thirty degree angle and represent 25% to 33% of the total
surface area of your swimming pool.
The solar tubes are made from Borosilicate glasses which are highly resistant to thermal shocks, frost and very strong and virtually maintenance free.
